Each Day at Amazing Grace Equestrian Summer Pony Camp, you will learn true horsemanship and how to safely handle a horse.
Included are activities like properly leading, tying, and safe handling of the horse. You will be tacking up and learning how to care for the equipment. You will learn some of the safest and best practices used by top stables around the world.
You will need to bring a sack lunch each day including water and/or Gatorade to stay hydrated – no soda please. Please arrive dressed to ride with riding pants or long jeans and a riding boot or a hard soled boot with a heel of a minimum of one inch (1”). Bring a backpack with a bathing suit and towel for water play and a dry change of clothes and sneakers for game time. Hair should be pulled back if it is long enough to do so. Please bring sunscreen. No tank tops, flip flops or sandals.
While mounted, you will be required to wear an ASTM approved equestrian helmet. We supply helmets that you may use while you are here, or you can bring or purchase your own if you wish. Horstmyers in Sanford, is having a summer camp special on camp riding attire at a good discount.
Parents: Please drop off your children and have them dressed to ride by 8:30 am and pick them up promptly at 2:00 pm. You must sign your child in and out or you will be called back. Please keep goodbyes short so we can properly supervise all campers at all times.
